Saac IT Solutions Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data fiduciary responsible for your information. We operate the website cheriedu.com and, through it, the CHERI SMS school-management platform, the CheriMathLab learning platform, and the DATA GEEK training series. CheriEdu, CHERI SMS and CheriMathLab are brands and products of Saac IT Solutions Private Limited, not separate companies. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and, for international users, the EU/UK GDPR.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact & demo forms: your name, email, phone number, school name, role, your inquiry type and message.
• Admission requests: when a parent applies to schools through our multi-school admission flow, we collect the parent/guardian’s name, email and phone, and the student’s name, grade and (optionally) date of birth, plus the schools selected.
• Account & usage data for products you use (e.g., CheriMathLab): profile details and activity needed to provide the service.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, and aggregate usage analytics (see Cookies & analytics).

We collect only what we need for the purposes below. Providing some information is optional; required fields are marked on our forms.

2. How we use information

• To respond to your inquiries and demo requests.
• To route admission requests to the schools you select, and to send you confirmations and status updates about those applications.
• To provide, maintain and improve our products.
• To send service communications, and — only with your consent — marketing or product updates (you can opt out anytime).
• To keep our services secure and to meet legal obligations.

3. When we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

• With schools you choose in an admission request — your contact and the student’s details are shared with each selected school so they can respond.
• With service providers who help us operate (for example, payment processing via Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant; cloud hosting; email delivery). They may process data only on our instructions.
• For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

4. Students & children’s data

Some data relates to students, who may be minors. We collect and process student information in the context of a school’s use of our platform or a parent/guardian-initiated admission request. Where required by law, processing of a child’s personal data is done with verifiable parental or school consent, and we do not use children’s data for targeted advertising.

5. How we protect data

• Personal data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256.
• Multi-tenant isolation keeps each school’s data separate.
• Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis with authentication and audit logging.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate technical and organisational measures.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent) and opt out of marketing.
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority.

8. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand usage through analytics tools such as Google Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

We are based in India and primarily store data on servers serving the Indian region. If data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice.
